Dear Valued Clients & Colleagues,

During these unprecedented times, I want to thank everyone that is serving our community and let you know that our prayers go out to all those people that have been impacted by Covid-19.  This novel pandemic has accounted for a staggering number of health-related illnesses and deaths across the world. The US economy has been devastated and many businesses will never return. I want to reassure you that our team at The Academy is committed to being a part of the solution. We continue to support the industry as we unite and work together.

We are hearing lots of good information in the news about ways to reduce our risk of getting infected like “social distancing”, hand washing, staying home, etc. and those are important things to continue in our communities.  However, those are reactive strategies with very little discussions or strategic planning on how to properly clean the thousands of contaminated buildings across the country and get people back to work, businesses re-opened and the US economy roaring again.  The Academy and its industry partners have been working around the clock over the past month to take an offensive approach and provide an education solution to help those professionals that are essential in preparing buildings for re-occupancy.

As a partner, educator and supporter of the cleaning and restoration industry for over 47 years, we felt the call to step into a much-needed leadership role by creating the first Coronavirus Disinfection Certification Course ever designed.  Our course was created, approved and reviewed by various credentialed professionals with decades of environmental, medical and safety experience including: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Medical Physician and Orthopedic Surgeon (MD), Professional Engineer (PE), Licensed Contractors in multiple states, Hazardous Material abatement contractor, Safety and compliance experts and so on…

Our communities and economy are counting on our industry to be the front-line professionals to get us back to the “new normal” as fast as possible.  If you are in the restoration, cleaning, emergency/disaster response or hazardous abatement industries and are providing COVID-19 cleaning and disinfection services, you need to obtain a coronavirus-specific training certification to compliment any other credentials that you might have.  If you are providing these services without any specific training certification, it significantly increases your risk to liability and legal claims, employee exposure and providing a false sense of security to your clients.  If you would like more information about Coronavirus Certification Course or if you have other specific training needs, our team is standing by ([email protected]).

Stay safe and remember, “we got you COVID”
