September 20-21-22-23 Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) - Taught by Patrick Moffett

This Educational and practical four-day seminar is designed to certify students in Applied Microbial Remediation Technician. This course presents all the basic concepts and systems of the restoration process and extensive hands-on exercises to allow students the opportunity to build different types of containments using up to date equipment.

September 26-27 Color Repair Technician (CRT ) - Taught by James Smith

This educational and practical two-day seminar is designed to certify students as Institute of Inspections, Cleaning & Restoration Certification (IICRC) Color Repair Technicians. All other IICRC courses build off of this course which is presented in a generic format with lecture; audio-visual and hands-on with color dyeing.

October 3 Odor Control Technician (OCT) - Taught by Mike West

The Odor Control Technician course covers olfaction and odor, odor sources, detection process, theory of odor control, equipment, chemical options and applications. The student will learn how to address odors caused from biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination, and mold, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals.

October 4-5 Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) - Taught by Mike West

This educational and practical two-day seminar is designed to certify students as Institute of Inspections, Cleaning & Restoration Certification (IICRC) Carpet Cleaning Technicians. All other IICRC courses build off of this course which is presented in a generic format with lecture; audio-visual and hands-on cleaning used to aid the learning process and includes a 300 page manual.

October 6-7 Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician - (FSRT) - Taught by Patrick Moffett

This educational and practical two day seminar is designed to certify students as Institute of inspectors, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) Fire & Smoke Restoration Technicians.  The course presents all of the basic concepts and systems of the restoration process. You will learn how to clean soot and other contaminates from contents and structure. You will also learn how to perform deodorization for smoke contaminated air space, contents and structure.  You will learn how to safely use specialty restoration chemicals, supplies and equipment.  Finally, you'll learn how to perform a content move -- "Packout" successfully.
The material is presented in a generic format with lecture, audio-visual and hands-on instruction.
 
October 19-20-21 Water Restoration Technician (WRT) - Taught by Mike West

Third generation in Cleaning & Restoration. During this 3-day class Mike will teach technicians all the basic concepts and systems of the restoration process. The material is presented in a generic format with lecture, audio- visual and hands on instruction.

Flooring Inspector

October 22-23-24 Introduction to Substrate and Subfloor Inspector (ISSI) - Taught by Claudia Lezell

The 3day ISSI pre-requisite for the hard surface inspector program course (third day exam) and manual will provide you knowledge of most substrate and subfloors including concrete, wood and other underpayment commonly used in the floor covering industry. This course covers; components of a floor system, causes of failure and imperfections, subfloor/substrate construction, adhesives, leveling and patching, the affects of moisture, alkalinity and humidity, industry standards and publications.

October 25-26-27-28 Wood and Laminate Flooring Inspector (WLFI) - Taught by Claudia Lezell

Certified inspector—4 days—Tuesday through Friday ($1795) The IICRC Certification for Wood Laminate Certified Inspector is internationally respected and the IICRC Registry and 800 numbers are promoted throughout the industry. This intense comprehensive seminar leads to one of the most prestigious credentials in the industry. You will leave this course prepared to handle any type of Wood or Laminate inspection. Fee includes all study materials, plus many other books and publications, and administration of IICRC test. Get certified and become a part of the IICRC renowned registry of certified floor covering inspectors. Hard Surface floor covering sales are soaring into the billions of dollars resulting in the need for qualified inspectors. This course will provide you with the credentials, knowledge, training and marketing skills to become such an inspector.

4 Classes (9 Instruction days)

Requirements:
Certification in: UFT,OCT and FSRT

Time frame:
3 Classes ( 5 Instruction days)

 

Journeyman Water Restorer (JWR)
Requirements:
Certification in:
(CCT or CMT) WRT and RRT
Time frame:
3 Classes (7 Instruction days)

 

Master Textiles Cleaner (MTC)
Requirements:
Certification in:
(CCT or CMT ) UFT, OCT, (RRT or BRT) and CRT
Time frame:
5 Classes (9 Instruction days)

 

Master Fire & Smoke Restorer (MSR)
Requirements:
Certification in:
(CCT or CCMT) UFT, OCT, FSRT and (HST or equivalent)
Time frame:
5 Classes (9 Instruction days)

 

Master Water Restorer (MWR)
Requirements:
Certification in:
(CCT or CCMT) RRT, WRT ASD, AMRT or AMRS and (HST or equivalent)

Time frame:
6 Classes (17 Instruction days)

 

 

 

Academy of Textiles and Flooring Certification:

Those successfully completing this course and examination will qualify for professional certification. Separate check and application to IICRC is required at test time. Certification fee is $50 payable to IICRC.

  

CLASS FEES

Non-refundable Seven Days Prior to class
If student cannot attend scheduled class please call office to re enroll in another class.
Student has a three month period to attend class otherwise full cost of class will be applied.

 

 

The Academy of Textiles offers IICRC professional certification in the above courses by qualified examinations.
